Spring collections of green waste and branches: starting April 28
With the arrival of spring, the Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion reminds its citizens of the importance of properly disposing of green waste and branches during spring collections, in order to contribute to the cleanliness and health of our environment.
Green waste collections
Two green waste collections will be held during the weeks of April 28 and May 19, for all sectors.
Residents are invited to place their residues at the curb before 7 a.m. on Monday mornings. Collection will take place during the week. Only paper bags and bulk waste deposited in a rigid container (other than a wheeled bin) will be accepted.
Green waste includes dead leaves, small branches (less than 2.5 cm in diameter), twigs, hedge trimmings, garden waste and grass. Plastic or biodegradable bags are not accepted.
Remember that green residues are also accepted in the organic matter collection (brown bin).
Branch collections
Three branch collections are also scheduled for the spring. Dates vary according to sector. The first round of collections will take place in the following weeks:
- Week of April 28: sectors A and B
- Week of May 5: sector C
- Week of May 12: sectors D and E
Residents must place their branches at the curb before 7 a.m. on the Monday morning of the week of collection, with the widest ends facing the street.
Only branches with a maximum diameter of 10 cm and a maximum length of 1.8 m will be collected. Stumps, trunks, roots and branches tied with rope or metal are not accepted.
A gesture for the environment
These seasonal collections are designed to facilitate the responsible management of organic materials and encourage good environmental practices. The City reminds you of the importance of sorting your materials properly and following the instructions to ensure optimal processing.
To find out the precise collection dates for their sector, residents are invited to visit the Collections and Schedules page or consult the address search tool on the website.
