Project history
The Vaudreuil-Dorion's Youth Committee has its roots in the work carried out as part of the city's family and seniors policy. This process, which included extensive consultation with community partners and the general public, highlighted two key elements: the importance of encouraging the involvement and expression of young people in their community, and the need to foster exchanges between the municipal organization, local organizations and citizens. These objectives served as the starting point for the 3rd edition of the 2023 community forum, whose theme was The place of young people in the community. The discussions and workshops held during this event led to a dozen proposed initiatives, including the Vaudreuil-Dorion's Youth Committee.
