Ève Salvail to be the star DJ at Feux et flocons in Vaudreuil-Dorion
The City of Vaudreuil-Dorion invites the public to attend the Feux et flocons event on Saturday, February 22, starting at 7 p.m. in Parc de la Maison-Valois, when DJs Evalicious (Ève Salvail), Adrien Tosti and Duffix will perform on the roof of the MIXBUS Studio, a school bus converted into a stage. The fireworks, the highlight of the evening, will take place at around 9:15 p.m. over Vaudreuil Bay.
"Every winter, residents are always eager to take part in Feux et flocons. Whatever the weather, they're always there. This year, adults will certainly appreciate the lounge area near Chalet Valois, where they can sip a hot beverage comfortably seated around a fireplace," said Vincent Bastien, Director of the Leisure and Culture Department.
DJ Evalicious will headline the Parc de la Maison-Valois stage from 8:45 to 10:30 p.m. with her eclectic arrangements of trance, crunk, punk, rock and a touch of reggae. She's also found a harmonious way to marry her passion for 80s funk with 90s rap and contemporary hip-hop, creating a unique blend for festive evenings. A DJ in the music business since 2006, Ève Salvail was an internationally renowned model in the 90s. In fact, she was one of the muses of the great French couturier Jean-Paul Gaultier. More recently, Ève Salvail appeared on the NOOVO reality show Big Brother Célébrités in 2024.
Opening the evening will be DJ Duffix from 7 to 7:45 p.m., followed by Adrien Tosti from 7:45 to 8:45 p.m. Other on-site activities include strolling entertainment, a slide, giant games and the Caravane Mozaïk with artist Philippe Corriveau's interactive digital experience Blob, where colors and movements come to life on the vehicle. Those interested will be able to buy a bite to eat at the Frit & Gof food truck and hot alcoholic beverages at the bars. Please note that outside alcohol is not permitted on site. Coffee and hot chocolate will also be served free of charge.
Please note that the ice ring, slide and equipment loan at Parc de la Maison-Valois will be closed from 8:30 a.m. on February 19 until 7 p.m. on February 22. The skating rink will remain closed on the evening of the event. In addition, the Maison-Valois parking lot will be inaccessible from Wednesday, February 19 at 8:30 a.m. to Monday, February 24 at 4 p.m. to facilitate site set-up and dismantling. The slide will be open from 7 p.m. on February 22, with tubes and snowskate boards on loan.
In the event of unfavorable weather conditions, Feux et flocons may be cancelled. Residents are invited to check the Town's Facebook page or call the Info-Annulation line at 450 424-8502 to make sure the event is still on.
