March Break fun in Vaudreuil-Dorion
For March Break from March 3 to 7, 2025, the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion is offering a variety of activities for its residents. Parents can choose between a weekly day camp, for which online registration opens at noon on February 11, and one-time activities, for which registration opens at 9 a.m. on February 18.
Day Camp
The March Break Day Camp, for Vaudreuil-Dorion residents aged five to twelve, will be held at the Cité-des-Jeunes Campus Sports Center (400, avenue Saint-Charles) from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with daycare open from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. During the week, children will enjoy a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. They'll also take part in free swims at the pool and, weather permitting, go sliding and skating at Parc de la Maison-Valois.
One-time activities
From March 3 to 7, the city is also offering its citizens around 20 one-time activities, including a variety of workshops, babysitting training and individual take-home kits. Collaborators such as La Ribouldingue, les Neurones Atomiques, Bricolo Café Céramique, Studio de danse 118 and Éducazoo, to name but a few, will be offering their expertise to youngsters in stimulating artistic, playful and scientific workshops. For the more active, the Centre multisports André-Chagnon's gymnasiums will host a variety of sports, including basketball, floor field hockey, climbing and soccer. Weather permitting, residents can also take advantage of outdoor winter facilities such as the skating rinks and slides at parc de la Maison-Valois and parc-nature Harwood.
As space is limited, registration is required for most activities. Your child's citizen card will be required for reservations, starting February 18, 9 a.m. Some activities are free, while others require a registration fee. The brochure detailing one-time activities will be available online from the first week of February.
Free skating and swimming
Free skating sessions with live entertainment, DJ and mascot will be held at the municipal arena (9, rue Jeannotte) from Monday to Wednesday. The special March Break schedule is available on the city's website under Arena and outdoor skating rinks.
As for the indoor pool (400, avenue Saint-Charles, pavillon J), an inflatable structure (Wibit) will be installed on the water on March 4 and 6, in the afternoon. The curious can also take part in an aquatic fitness activity on Tuesday, March 4 and Thursday, March 6, from 9:15 a.m. to 10 a.m.
