A native of Vaudreuil, Guy Pilon began his political career in 1998 as a municipal councillor, along with his involvement in the family business. In 2005, he became mayor of the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion. He is currently in his fifth term as chief officer.
Deeply involved in the region, Guy Pilon was a member of the Board of Directors of the Agence métropolitaine de transport until its dissolution, as well as President of the Conseil intermunicipal de transport (CIT) La Presqu'île. He is President of Développement économique Vaudreuil-Soulanges (DEV, formerly the CLD) and represents the 11 towns of the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges belonging to the CMM, as well as the City of Beauharnois on the board of the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal (CMM). Among his other mandates, the mayor acts as a representative of the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges on the Table des préfets et élus de la Couronne-Sud and sits on the fibre optics committee and the finance table of the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges.
