CHARLO is a conversational robot set up by the Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion to facilitate access to information on municipal services, regulations, activities, events and administrative procedures. The purpose of this policy is to specify the conditions of use of CHARLO and the responsibilities of users.

Data confidentiality and protection of personal information

When interacting with CHARLO, it is imperative that you do not transmit any personal information. If a request requires identification, we invite you to contact the Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion directly using the official coordinates.

Data collection and use

  • CHARLO only collects information explicitly provided by the user during exchanges.
  • CHARLO does not collect browsing data, location data or any other information that does not come directly from users.
  • The information collected is used solely for the purposes of analysis and service improvement. It is stored in accordance with the Privacy Policy, the Policy on the Management and Protection of Personal Information and current legislation on the protection of personal information.

Data destruction

Data will be kept for a maximum of 30 days in order to optimize the quality of CHARLO's responses and improve its understanding of requests, and will then be destroyed.

Chatbot responsibilities and limits

  • CHARLO endeavors to provide accurate information by integrating, whenever possible, links to official sources.
  • CHARLO is based exclusively on official Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion data and does not generate original content.
  • CHARLO is limited to questions relating to municipal services and regulations in force in Vaudreuil-Dorion. For inquiries outside this scope, we recommend contacting the appropriate authorities.
