Participatory budget: Four citizen projects put to the public vote
From November 4 to 22, citizens are invited to vote for their favorite project, as part of the4th edition of the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion’s participatory budget. This is a unique opportunity to participate in the well-being of our community.
In the general section, four projects were selected from among the fifteen submitted, while in the youth section, no projects were submitted. The projects were analyzed by a coordinating committee made up of representatives from the Communications, Finance and Treasury, Recreation and Culture, Land Use Planning and Engineering and Environment departments. A total of $65,000 is available for the project - the general section - that receives the highest number of votes.
The projects
Cycling education park
This project will give children aged 2 to 12 the chance to develop their cycling skills and learn the basics
of road safety. With scooters, bikes and helmets on loan, the park will be accessible to all and encourage
an active lifestyle.
