Evening meeting with Gino Chouinard

April 16
7:30 p.m.
Free

Hosted by Patrick Richard

In 2012, Gino Chouinard began his tenth consecutive season of TVA morning shows, including Salut bonjour and Salut bonjour week-end. That year, he and his team toured Quebec, surprising hundreds of people with funny and touching reports. Today, he has passed the 30-year mark of hosting for various programs.

As well as being involved in a host of related projects, he is also an investor and ambassador for Chocolats favoris. He's never counted the hours he puts in... with one exception. On the eve of the opening of Chocolats Favoris in Boucherville, Gino Chouinard hosted a gala event in Quebec City. A few minutes before going on stage, he said he couldn't leave the backstage area. “I was burnt out, tired, on edge, on the verge of exploding. That time, he managed to get up on stage, imploring his late father to give him the strength to carry on. No wonder his friends call him “the machine”. Ironically, he finds that the pace imposed by the pandemic allows him to keep a more balanced schedule.

He has won the Artis award for Best Service Program Host 14 years in a row since he took the helm of this popular daily, an award given by the public, of whom he is the favorite.
