The treasure hunt returns at the end of September

On September 28 and 29, citizens wishing to dispose of certain objects will be able to place them at the curb starting at 8 a.m. This year, no advance registration will be required. Participants are simply asked to place a sign next to their items that says “À donner / to give away”.

Those interested can simply pick up the treasures they find on a first-come, first-served basis, free of charge. Please note that any items that remain unclaimed after the weekend must be picked up by 9 p.m. on Sunday evening. Hazardous household waste and unprotected sharp or pointy objects are not accepted for this activity, which will take place rain or shine.

To dispose of unclaimed items, please consult Tricycle, a search tool available online, at tricycle-mrcvs.ca.

This treasure hunt is part of the 4Rs principle (Reducing, Reusing, Recycling and Recovering). Its goal is to increase the lifespan of objects to limit the production of new objects and avoid sending properly functioning equipment to landfills.
